Nylon features The Vampire Diaries Cast

Last year, every newsstand and Borders bookstore in the country were inundated with magazine covers featuring our favorite "Twilight" vampires in anticipation of "New Moon" November release. (In fact, there were so many glossies dedicated to the franchise that we did an entire post about them!) And while we expect a similar outpouring when promotion ramps up for "Eclipse," we're happy to see another coven score the cover of Nylon. The stars of The CW hit "Vampire Diaries," including Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder vogued for a stylish photoshoot (check out our exclusive images from that shoot below!) and also dished about the ever-popular bloodsucker craze.

When it comes to the genre, "Vampire Diaries" has plenty of competition, mainly in the granite-bodied form of one hunky Edward Cullen. But series star Nina insists her show has its own appeal. "When the show first started... you automatically thought 'Twilight,' " she said. "But once you continue, there's a whole other side of it that goes a lot deeper... It's about letting everyone know that we're different but we all respect each other."

Though the two sagas are unique, Paul admits his series probably wouldn't be around if it weren't for Stephenie Meyer. "Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren't for all that ['Twilight' hype]? No," he said. Costar Michael Trevino, who plays troubled Tyler Lockwood, had another vampire series in mind when he heard the show's premise. "I think the majority of our cast was kind of like 'Vampire Diaries'? Really? There's already a 'Twilight;' is this going to be like trying to make a fake 'True Blood'?"

Uma Thurman Talks about Robert Pattinson and "Bel Ami"

Los Angeles Confidential has a new interview with Uma Thurman, who will be one of the actresses staring alongside Robert Pattinson in "Bel Ami".

In the interview she touches base on Robert, and her role in the movie -

LAC: What’s special about your upcoming film Bel Ami besides Robert Pattinson, who is so big right now, being your costar?

UT: He is a big star right now. I’m excited because the film is a classical, technical piece of work, and it’s beautiful. It’s a bit of bedroom drama. It’s a romance between Rob and a number of Parisian housewives.

LAC: And you’re one of the love interests?

UT: I end up marrying him, but there are some twists. My daughter is like, “Mom, why do you keep getting these roles where you’re getting younger men?” And I said, “Well at least I don’t do it in real life.

Robert Pattinson Brings Sexy Back to Haiti in Telethon

This Friday Hollywood's elite will join together for a telethon to raise money for the earthquake victims in Haiti. The telethon, which will be live from Los Angeles, is hosted by George Clooney. In addition to Clooney, there's a long list of sexy celebs who will lend a helping hand. Brad Pitt, Shakira, Bradley Cooper, and Colin Farrell will all take part in this important fundraiser. Twilight fans will be thrilled to know that Robert Pattinson has also voluntered to help out. He will be the only UK star in attendance and will be broadcast via satellite, live from London.

It's great to see that R-Pattz is there to use his celebrity appeal to help the people of Haiti. Not only will it contribute to ratings, but also more money!

Will you be watching the celebrity-filled marathon this Friday? Have you already donated to a Haiti relief fund?

Anna Kendrick’s Career Goes “Up in the Air”

Anna Kendrick provided some comic relief as Bella Swan’s ditzy BFF in the “Twilight” series. Then the 24-year-old actress outshone many of her tweentastic peers in a possibly career-making turn as smart, driven Natalie in “Up in the Air.” Her performance earned her Best Supporting Actress nominations at the Screen Actors Guild awards and Golden Globes. There’s a chance an Oscar nod could be in her future.

Kendrick began starring on Broadway when she was just 14 years old and became the second youngest person to be nominated for a Tony. She nabbed a Best Debut nomination at the Indie Spirit Awards for the movie “Camp” and another Best Supporting Actress nomination for “Rocket Science” when she was 22.

Speakeasy caught up with Kendrick after the Golden Globes to get a recap, hear about coming projects, and to talk about George (Clooney) and Robert (Pattinson). Although Mo’Nique walked off with the award, this girl’s got our vote for Best Chance at Winning More Awards in the Future.

Ian, on the other hand, conjured up his former island home "Lost" when asked about his mischievous character Damon. "This is gonna be the coolest character on television," he said. "There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway's character on 'Lost.' He was always the character I secretly wished I could play."
