So today I picked up MM and we headed to David Thompson Secondary School in Vancouver.
Reports were that they had been filming scenes for Twilight Sequel NEW MOON there this past week.
Although it is GOOD FRIDAY, MM and I both have experience with the movie biz and felt filming would indeed still be going on somewhere, and with no classes in session, the school was a great palce to start.
We drove there and saw no signs of filming. We did see a car full of 20-something girls and a Washington Plate... so we pulled up beside them and asked if they were "vampire stalkers"
They were.
We chatted, shared stories, gave them the 411 on what we knew, mostly about the barn in Port Coquitlam.
They were from Seattle and came up jsut to stalk - hardcore!
After chatting and exchaging facebook contact info we went on our way.
A brief fast food and gas stop and we were back on track.
We checked out Gas Town including passing Chill Winston where Kristen Stewart celebrated her 19th birthday last night.
We went down Robson, Granville, Burrard, passed Rob Pat's hotel and a few spots they'd been spotted.
We were sure we wouldn't see anyone as they were likely filming somewhere, we just didn't know where....
so our vampire hunt ended and that was that.
Perhaps next time.
We did see Genevieve Graham from Project Runway Canada. Spotted her and a friend walking down Davie near Denman and pulled over to say hi.
She was similar to the show, a tad bitchy and kind of scattered.... I said "Hey, are you from Project Runway" she came towards the car and said "ya..." I said "that's cool" she was said "ya... cool" and walked away....
Perhaps I should have said I loved her designs or her or ... something... but... I really didn't.... I mean I didn't HATE her.... but wasn't sad to see her leave...

That was our Day Downtown.
My wisdom teeth still hurt too - - boo!
Off to the drive-in!!
